My approach to counseling is an integration/eclectic, holistic approach; I use different theories and interventions because every client is unique, and everyone's journey is different. I prioritize applying techniques that best fit my client's needs and helping empower the individual.
I provide trauma-informed therapy and work around my clients' trauma doing inner child work and using somatic treatments and polyvagal theory with other modalities. I meet my clients where they are without judgment; I support and accompany them, at their own pace, with empathy and compassion on their healing journey.
A little bit about Me
Born and raised in France, I have lived in the United States for over fifteen years and in South Korea beforehand. I obtained my graduate degree in Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from the University of Palo Alto located in Silicon Valley, CA.
I also hold two other graduate degrees in Linguistics and in Korean Literature. I taught at the University of Hawaii for over ten years, working with people from various countries and cultural backgrounds. For the past couple years, I have volunteered for a non-profit clinic in Portland by providing therapy services through telehealth to an underserved population. I am also a therapist with Mindful Therapy Group.
What brought me here is my passion for serving others and my own life experience; as a trauma survivor, I have learned the importance of mind-body connection, of our nervous system and its regulation, and the beneficial impact of cultivating a nurturing, kind, and compassionate self-talk.
Mana [mah-nah] in Hawaiian means your inner strength, life energy, miraculous power, spiritual power, divine power, life force.
