Elisa Saboundjian Edgreen, MA., Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC
She/Her/Hers

I'm Elisa and I'm here to offer a supportive and compassionate space for your healing and growth. My approach to counseling is integrative and holistic, drawing from a range of evidence-based theories and interventions. Because every person’s story and healing journey is unique, I tailor therapy to meet each client’s individual needs while supporting empowerment, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

I specialize in Complex PTSD, childhood trauma (both “big T” and “small t” trauma), and recovery from narcissistic abuse, including experiences within parental and romantic relationships.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and integrates approaches such as Inner Child work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and Brainspotting, along with somatic and mindfulness-based practices. I also incorporate insights from Polyvagal theory and Somatic Experiencing Therapy to support nervous system regulation and deeper healing.

In therapy, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported and understood. My role is to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them with empathy and compassion, honoring each person’s pace throughout the healing journey.

A little bit about Me

Born and raised in France, I have lived in the United States for nearly twenty years and previously spent time living in South Korea. I earned my graduate degree in Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from the University of Palo Alto in Silicon Valley, California.

In addition to my counseling degree, I hold two other graduate degrees in Linguistics and Korean Language and Literature. For more than ten years, I taught at the University of Hawaii, where I had the opportunity to work with people from many different countries and cultural backgrounds.

Over the past few years, I have also volunteered with a nonprofit clinic in Portland, providing telehealth therapy services to underserved communities. I currently practice as a therapist with Mindful Therapy Group.

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped both by a deep passion for supporting others and by my own life experiences. As a trauma survivor, I have come to understand the importance of the mind–body connection, the role of the nervous system and its regulation, and the healing impact of cultivating a nurturing and compassionate inner dialogue.
